ten months

 This kiddo is ten months old! We had his nine month doctor appointment on his ten month birthday and he is a growing which is always good to hear considering his picky eating habits. He is a glorious 18 and a half pounds of sweet baby goodness.  35th percentile for height, 19th for weight and a whopping 90th percentile for head circumference.

He is a happy, sweet little man and it is such a joy to be his parent. At ten months James:

• is standing up on everything and thinks he can walk already (he can't) which has resulted in many tumbles and bruises to his head
• won't touch any baby food but will surprisingly eat all sorts of big person food, thank goodness
• loves to play with other kids or mom, but not so much by himself unless someone is right there watching him
• likes to stand up in the bathtub (scary!) and then fall down on his bottom, splashing everywhere. He laughs and laughs and thinks he is hilarious

• dances whenever he hears any type of music. This includes bobbing his head, moving his body back and forth, clapping his hands, and bending his knees over and over again.
• likes to kneel up when he is playing with his little feet underneath him
• likes to throw things off shelves and makes all sorts of messes

• loves Cheerios. I don't know how he isn't sick of them yet with how many he eats 
• claps his hands when we clap our hands or say "yay James!"
• loves being naked. When that diaper comes off he is gone in a flash and we have to wrestle hard to get it back on him
• likes to be chased and growled at and tickled
• talks and talks and talks in all sorts of different voices and all sorts of different sounds
• is always pointing with his pointer finger on his right hand--not necessarily at anything, but he just likes to point
• can wave bye bye but does so only with his fingers just bending them up and down. It's pretty cute

• likes to hit things especially tables, books and his high-chair tray
• is really good at picking up little things with his finger and his thumb
• is far more interested in cords, remotes, computers, phones and anything that he isn't supposed to have than his own toys. stinker.
• has officially outgrown all his 3 to 6 month clothing including the onesie he is wearing in these pictures, ha ha!
• knows when he is being naughty or obstinate and thinks it is hilarious when we get mad at him. he is going to be difficult to discipline i fear.
• is the cutest little man i ever met and my second favorite guy in the world besides his dad
