mexico part two: Tulum

 Tulum is an ancient Mayan city located about 20 minutes from Akumal where we were staying. We spent the day touring these ruins. They aren't as expansive or large as the ruins at Chitzen Itza or Coba but make up for it in their amazing location overlooking the ocean.

We ended the day with an amazing homecooked meal made by our housekeeper Chayo. Shrimp and carne asada chile relleno, guacamole, rice and beans and different kinds of salsa. 'Twas delicious.
