Mexico part four

Christmas of 2012 and this trip to Mexico was the first time my family has all been together in over two years and the last time we'll all be together in who knows how long. My brother got home from his mission to Chile in October, a couple months after Steve and I moved to DC. I got to see him but Steve hasn't seen him since he left over two years ago. My brother Christian is leaving on a two year mission in Rome in February so we won't see him for a long time. The brother after him, Taylor, will turn 18 next January so he could potentially go on a mission before Christian gets home. In that case we won't all be together for another three years at least. And by then our family will probably be very different.

So we took the opportunity to take a couple of self-timer pictures on the beach in front of our house in Mexico. A lot were not so good but we got a couple that were nice enough to post on this here blog. One good picture is considered successful in this family!

I love my big family and my little family! I'm lucky to be surrounded by so many boys and even luckier to have a mom so I'm not completely outnumbered. Thank you mom and dad for this amazing trip to Mexico! We loved every minute of it but the best part was spending time with family--something we've learned not to take for granted since moving away from both our stellar families.
