our home

As we were packing up to leave our little apartment I looked around and got a little sad that we weren't going to be living there for the summer. Don't get me wrong, living with our parents in Utah is the best. We are getting so spoiled by both our families. But I will miss our apartment in Virginia. It took me almost the whole school year to finally make it feel like our home, but now that I'm done (well I don't know if I'll ever truly be done--I'm always making changes) I love almost every little square inch of this place (although since its just an apartment there are some things I would change if I could/wasn't so lazy--like the vents sticking out seven inches from the wall in every room and the lovely shade of beige that covers every wall). While it may not be magazine-worthy, I have filled it with things that we love and pieces that reflect who we are and remind us of some of our favorite moments together. Here are some of my favorite details:

I love this tree outside our windows and how it changes the feel of the room depending on the season (top was in winter, bottom was in spring)

Balcony and that amazing tree again, plus a cute kid

  2. It looks pretty magazine-worthy to me! Maybe you could come help me with mine :) I hope you have a great summer in Utah! I'm not sure if we're going to make it up there, but if I do, I'd love to see you! Good luck with the move and talk to you soon!

  3. Your apartment is the cutest! While you're here I'll pay you to make our new place look as good as yours! Really Amie! I am not surprised but completely impressed with the character and charm with which you have designed and decorated!
