Hirshhorn

I will come right out and say it. I am a lover of modern art. Ok, not all modern art. Some of it is just plain weird and disturbing. But some contemporary art is amazing and moving and quite awesome. Not all people share this view. In particular my husband, who thinks all modern art is pretty dumb and to quote, "I could have done that myself". So one rainy morning after James and I dropped Steve off at school, we took advantage of his absence and spent a couple hours at the Hirshhorn Museum. I think museums are the absolute best on rainy days. We got there right as they opened and it was the so fun to have the place almost to ourselves and wander as we pleased. I mostly followed James as he walked from room to room and occasionally stopped him from climbing on sculptures or touching the paintings.
