valentines day recap

Sometime in the middle of January I was listening to Mat Kearney and I thought how much I wished I could see him in concert again. So I went to his website and looked at his tour dates. Only four were listed . . . two in Hawaii, one in Alaska and one in DC! I was ecstatic as I bought our tickets for February 7. I had big plans to surprise Steve, but the minute he got home that night I burst out and told him. I am a horrible secret-keeper. We decided that even though it was a week early this is how we would celebrate our Valentines Day, just like we did last year.

We found a sitter for James and since the concert was right on GW campus I drove and met Steve there. We ate dinner at Burger, Tap and Shake and then walked over to the Lisner Auditorium. The concert was amazing and it was so nice to be out with just Steve. It was a seriously awesome Valentines Day.

Also, this is the extent of my Valentines Day decorating. I had so many good ideas but not enough time to execute them-- so I let our family and friends do it for me.
