A couple weeks ago was Steve's spring break-- although you wouldn't know it from how busy he was with readings, papers, journal competition and other extra-curricular stuff. Despite all that, we managed to sneak away one afternoon to visit a couple of the Smithsonians--the National Gallery of Art and the Museum of Natural History. We didn't spend long at either one, only visiting a couple of galleries in the Art Museum and the Hall of Mammals in the Natural History (which is probably my very favorite part). James liked the Art museum as long as we kept the stroller moving, but the animals in the Hall of Mammals kept him enthralled for hours.
