Steve had his fall break last week so one day we decided to drive the 20 minutes down to Mt. Vernon. First of all, the drive was spectacular! This Utah girl isn't used to so many trees. And especially when they are all changing colors. Oh man it was gorgeous. I wish I had thought to pull out my camera.
Mt. Vernon itself was just as lovely. We started off with an awesome movie about George Washington. Two thumbs up. Then we spent all our time outside wandering the grounds but we didn't even cover all of what was there. Luckily we bought an annual pass so we can go back over and over again. I wanted to see the house but James declared he was done with touring for the day and wanted a nap. Next time.

| funny story: James loved the cows and could have watched them all day so we assumed he would have a similar reaction to the sheep. They were interesting until they started to baa, and then they just became terrifying. |
