We drove from Salt Lake to Washington DC in three days. We left on a Monday morning and had to be there by Wednesday night so Steve could start law school orientation on Thursday morning. We didn't leave ourselves room for anything to go wrong and thankfully nothing did. Our car got us safely here, Steve was an awesome driver, and James was an angel. The first day we drove for 14.5 hours to get to Omaha, the next we drove for 12 hours to get to Cincinatti, and the last day we drove 9 hours to get to Falls Church, VA, just outside of D.C. We stayed with some ward friends of Steve's in Omaha and then with my aunt and uncle and their kids in Cincinatti. We were sad we didn't have longer to spend along the way and if we ever do it again I would like to go a little slower and try to see a little more of our country. But I will be ok if we take a plane next time.

oh how we love you! amie, seriously you are the cutest! we love you guys and are SO glad you are safe. what troopers. (ESPECIALLY JAMES!) and we will be visiting soon. so get settled in, post pics, and let us know how you're liking it.
