Annapolis

We spent an afternoon in Annapolis with friends last weekend. It is the most darling, charming little town and I would move there in a heartbeat if it wasn't too much of a commute from downtown DC.

We spent much of our time at the United States Naval Academy. It is a beautiful campus with amazing architecture. Plus the leaves were still going strong even though they had all but disappeared where we live.  We visited several different buildings but my favorite was the church. It was simple compared to European churches I have visited, but I loved its simplicity as well as the different navy symbols throughout (boats, ropes, stars, etc.).

This building was so neat. It reminded me of buildings we saw in Europe.

After visiting the Navy campus we went downtown by the water. There are so many fun shops and restaurants as well as neat old buildings--hotels and churches. We walked around and stopped in some of the charming shops and then we had a yummy, yummy seafood dinner (crab, anyone?). It was such a nice evening. I definitely plan on going back sometime in the near future. I love having so many neat little places so close to where we live.

With our good friends, Anna and Randy.

James and his huge leaf. Wouldn't let us take it away.
